like mine you are looking at 2 sheets of Polycarbonate (1' x 2'), 2' worth of Acrylic

Plexiglass Acrylic Glue - ePlasics stocks and sells the complete line of IPS Weld-On

Industrial Plastic Adhesives - glue for plexiglas acrylic sheets.

IPS #3 is water-thin, quick drying and is mostly Methylene Chloride in composition.

Good for gluing small parts where fast drying is required and bond strength not as

critical.

IPS #4 is water-thin, and a bit slower drying. Most commonly used for 80% of

Plexiglass acrylic fabrication tasks.

IPS #16 is syrupy or bodied and fast drying. Great where the parts don't fit exactly

right, for putting a bead inside a box you are trying to make water-tight, or for

bonding applications where a bubble-free bond is not required (bonding solid colors

for instance).

IPS #40 is mostly acrylic monomer in composition and is a 2-part mix. This is the

adhesive used by professionals for making aquariums and other bubble-free and highly

structural bonds. It is the strongest of all the Plexiglass acrylic glues, and

requires a bit of skill in its application. Excellent for bonding Plexiglass acrylic

to other materials as well.

Note on Gun Adhesive Dispensers:
These type of applicators require a gun dispenser, an adhesive cartridge, and a

mixing tip.

IPS Weld-On 3 and 4 Cements are both high-strength, fast drying, clear, and water

I recently bought a black and decker KW 900 EKA router from Mach power tools

I am happy with it but it has its pros and cons
Pros
1. Cheap at Rs 5499 including shipping and easily available. Also easy to get

sanctioned by 'higher authorities' in the kitchen.
2. Reliable company, as this is now a subsidiary of Dewalt (Just as Skil is now owned

by Bosch). Though the western market may view it as a cheaper brand.
3. Has been working well until now, but this is for light occasional use.

Cons.
1. It is only a plunge router and not have the facility for a fixed base. Having said

that I plan to mount my plunge router under the table and use a car jack to raise it

up and down. I have not got down to doing it as yet due to lack of time and space at

home. A plunge router suffices for me now.
2. It does not have a soft start.
3. There do not seem to be any jigs/fittings available for this in the Indian market.

But for that matter there do not seem to be any for other routers too.

CYRO recommends that all acrylic water vessels, including aquariums should be

constructed with cell cast ACRYLITE® GP acrylic sheet. This requirement exists for

two reasons:

ACRYLITE® GP sheet is more capable of withstanding continuous loads than continuously

manufactured or extruded sheet.

ACRYLITE® GP sheet maintains a high level of mechanical strength after water

absorption has reached equilibrium.

Cemented joints must withstand the effects of the continuous hydraulic pressure and

the high level of water absorption for many years. Two-part polymerizable cements are

recommended for this to meet this requirement. For proper cementing techniques see

Tech Brief #1-Polymerizable Cement. Solvent cements are NOT recommended.

To determine what thickness acrylic sheet should be used, the calculation below can

be used assuming the base is uniformly supported.

Tanks up to 13" tall can be assembled with 1/4" acrylic, from 13"-19" w/ 3/8"

acrylic, and tanks over 19" up to 24" require 1/2" acrylic.

* Length "L" is always the longer of the two bottom sides


* Tanks with closed tops will require thinner sheet, since the top will provide

added support to the tank
* If the sides are held together at the top in a frame, it can be considered a

closed tank

Common brands of high-grade acrylic include Polycast, Lucite and Plexiglass.

There are two basic types of acrylic: extruded and cell cast. Extruded or "continuous

cast" acrylic is made by a less expensive process, is softer, can scratch easier and

may contain impurities. Cell cast acrylic is a higher quality acrylic and U.S.

domestic cell cast is a good choice for applications that require the best. Imported

cell cast acrylic is often manufactured to lesser standards.

Use water or drilling oil as a coolant when cutting sheets over 1/8" thick or

drilling sheets over 3/16" thick.
